Sensei Sam Roy

Sensei Sam Roy's martial arts journey spans over 40 years, beginning with Kyokushin Kai Samurai under Sensei Paul Desmarais in Dorval, Québec — a lineage tracing directly to Master Roger Lesourd, Mas Oyama's first Canadian student and the father of Kyokushin Karate in Canada. He also trained under Tiger Paul, whose New Shaolin Boxing Association (NSBA) lineage connects directly to Carter Wong, World Muay Thai Champion and founder of the International Shaolin Chung Hop Kuen system. Sam has coached professional fighters at the highest level, including alongside WBC Light Heavyweight World Champion Adonis "Superman" Stevenson, and remains one of the most complete striking coaches in the country.
